ROCMHOF imageRochester Music Hall of Fame is having their first Induction Ceremony on April 29th at Kodak Hall at the Eastman Theatre. The gala event starts at 7:00 pm. Inductees include the following notables with major ties to ROC: flautist Doriot Anthony Dwyer, one of the first female members of a major orchestra; the long-gone Corinthian Hall; opera singer Jenny Lind; the RPO's Jeff Tyzik; Joe English, drummer for Paul McCartney's Wings and jazz-rock fusion band Sea Level; Charles Strouse, Broadway composer; Gene Cornish, guitarist for the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Rascals; Cab Calloway; and Chuck Mangione.

English, Cornish, Strouse and Dwyer are all scheduled to perform, and Cab Calloway’s daughter, Cecilia, is going to perform and accept her father’s award. Felix Cavaliere, who was one of the other original Rascals, is reuniting with Cornish, and they will be performing together. Prime Time Funk is the house band and will be accompanying Cornish and Cavaliere as well as Cecilia Calloway. Gap Mangione's New Big Band will be playing a tribute to his brother's music.
