
As local jazz fans’ thoughts turn to the Rochester International Jazz Festival as we head into June, one local town festival Fairport Canal Days, features at lot of local jazz artists and when the weather cooperates provides an opportunity to hear them. Tim Forster, who is again heading up the music at the festival likes to think of it as “the jazz festival before the Jazz Festival,” dedicated to some of the Rochester area’s best talent and emerging artists.
